Buchu and Rooibos are natural herbs that can only be grown in South Africa. Wild Harvest is our premium rooibos and buchu tea and comes from the very famous Cederberg Mountains in the Western Cape Province. As the name suggests, Wild Harvest has grown wildly. The "wild rooibos plant" may only be harvested every 3 years (does not apply to Buchu herb) and is therefore subject to strict regulations by the South African food and health government. The leaves were traditionally first harvested by bushmen to make a refreshing drink. This is how the world-famous rooibos tea came about. The name Rooibos (red bush) is derived from the reddish colour of the fermented leaves. Whether cold or warm, our 100% organic rooibos tea is a premium product directly from the rooibos fields in South Africa.
